Individual approach to cesarean section and safe childbirth

A cesarean section is not just an operation, but a carefully planned delivery strategy in which every detail matters. I, Irina Ergul, approach this process with the utmost attention, from assessing the indications to choosing the optimal timing and method.

In my practice, I often work with patients whose pregnancies have special considerations or who already have previous childbirth experience. In such situations, it is important not only to perform the operation, but to create a safe and predictable birth scenario for the baby.

When a cesarean section is chosen

  • anatomical features or abnormal fetal position
  • a uterine scar after previous childbirth or surgeries
  • a complicated course of pregnancy
  • situations in which vaginal delivery is associated with risks

How I approach the operation

Before the operation, I explain the plan of action in detail so that you feel calm and understand what is happening. A cesarean section is performed in a modern clinic using safe anesthesia and with the participation of an experienced team.

For me, not only the operation itself is important, but also your condition afterward. I monitor recovery, help you adapt to this new stage, and remain in contact with you.

What is important for the patient

I aim to make the process as predictable and comfortable as possible. You know in advance how the birth will take place, who will be with you, and what stages await you. This reduces anxiety and allows you to focus on the most important thing — the birth of your baby.

You can contact me for cesarean section planning or for a consultation if you have doubts about the delivery strategy.

Frequently asked
questions and answers

When is a cesarean section recommended?
I recommend a cesarean section when vaginal delivery may not be safe for the mother or the baby. This may be related to the baby’s position, the condition of the placenta, a uterine scar, or other medical indications.
What is the difference between a planned and an emergency cesarean section?
A planned cesarean section is performed in advance, under calm conditions and with preparation. An emergency cesarean is carried out when risks arise during labor. Whenever possible, I always aim to plan the delivery in advance.
When can I get up after a cesarean section?

Usually, you can get up within the first day after the operation. Early movement helps speed up recovery, but I always take your condition into account.
How long does the operation take?
A cesarean section usually takes about 30–60 minutes. The main part is performed quite quickly, while the remaining time is spent completing the procedure and monitoring the condition.
Can a cesarean section be done on request?
In some cases, this is possible, but the decision is always made individually. I carefully evaluate all factors to choose the safest delivery method.
How does recovery after the operation proceed?

Recovery takes place under medical supervision and depends on individual factors. I provide recommendations, help reduce discomfort, and ensure that the recovery process is as comfortable as possible.
Is a natural birth possible in a high-risk pregnancy?
It depends on the specific situation. I always aim to preserve the possibility of a natural birth if it is safe for both the mother and the baby.
Is it possible to have a vaginal birth after a cesarean section?
In some cases, this is possible. I assess the condition of the uterine scar and the overall course of the pregnancy to determine whether a vaginal birth is safe.
