You're right, I agree! People, if a doctor isn't right for you, why speak badly about them? Just quietly go see another doctor! The problem isn't with the doctor—it’s with the people acting like that!

This is not the first time the topic of Irina Ergyül has come up on Facebook. Just like there are many satisfied and grateful patients, there are also negative comments. Those who are happy are clear—they are satisfied with the medical care they received and thank the doctor. Those who are dissatisfied usually make claims such as the consultation fee being high or unnecessary or incorrect tests being requested.

Ladies, as women of childbearing age, we need to understand this: consultation fees are set by the hospital, not the doctor! Also, unless you are a gynecologist, you cannot definitively know which tests are necessary.

Of course, you may have doubts, and you may even think some tests are unnecessary—that is understandable. However, criticizing a doctor on Facebook so easily about something you don’t have sufficient knowledge of, in my opinion, is not ethical. Irina, like all of us, is a human being with feelings. When writing such comments, have you ever thought that you might be unfair to a good person?

Finally, I want to add: I have personally been examined by her, and I witnessed that Irina Ergyül is an expert in her field, open-minded, and extremely kind to her patients. This is a very important quality. I am truly grateful to her!

I’ve heard a lot of comments about Irina; many people are satisfied and grateful. I would also gladly be under her care—my delivery is in a month—but the hospital is expensive for us. This does not mean the doctor is bad; there will always be some people who are dissatisfied, especially with well-known doctors.

She even reviews my test results via WhatsApp, gives recommendations, requests additional tests, and comforts me. Sometimes I wondered, when does she rest? And I will never forget her face during the ultrasound: first, she focuses seriously, examines carefully, finds the baby, and then smiles. Of course, going to an expensive hospital wasn’t ideal for me, but she truly deserved that place!

I came across a very negative comment about Irina Ergyül on social media; it claimed that the doctor wasn’t professional enough and tried to get as much money from patients as possible. I couldn’t stay silent and wanted to refute this rumor.

Once, I witnessed a couple coming to see Irina Ergyül. The woman had been under her care since the beginning of her pregnancy, and it seemed that her pregnancy was quite advanced. The couple didn’t appear to be financially strong and couldn’t afford the NST (fetal heart monitoring). Irina didn’t leave them in this difficult situation and made sure they could have the NST done for free.

What I saw confirmed to me that she truly is a God-given doctor. She also helped me in my own case, even when I hadn’t asked. During my delivery, I wanted a birthing pool in the room, but it arrived later than expected. Irina thought this was wrong and intervened to make sure the pool was brought, and we did not have to pay for this service.

Complaints about service fees are also common. Unfortunately, the prices are set by the hospital, so everyone makes choices based on their own means.

Someone who cannot afford the hospital’s services should understand this rather than criticize the doctor. For me, Irina Ergyül is a doctor to look up to; a true professional with 20 years of experience in her field, who has achieved great success in a foreign country!

Irina is an excellent doctor!

As many people as there are, there are just as many different opinions! For a woman, the two most important doctors in her life are her gynecologist and her dentist. For some reason, many people in their own country don’t go to the local doctor; everyone searches for their own. Here in Istanbul, you can literally count the Russian-speaking gynecologists on one hand, and most people want someone who speaks Russian because they don’t speak the language or feel uneasy with Turkish doctors, so they can understand everything.

If there’s something you don’t like about a doctor, keep looking; it’s all personal. Irina always tries to help and explain!

The prenatal and postnatal preparation courses provide very useful information that you can apply in practice later! A God-given, amazing doctor! For us Russians living in Istanbul, being under Irina’s care is a great privilege and happiness. She is always attentive, professional, and reassuring to her patients, which is especially important during pregnancy and childbirth. Such doctors are rare! My husband and I are under her care throughout the pregnancy (yes, it is possible for your spouse to be present during delivery with Irina!).
