Diagnosis and effective treatment of dysplasia

Cervical dysplasia is a pathological change in the epithelial cells of the cervix, which doctors classify as a precancerous condition. Without timely treatment, dysplasia may progress and lead to the development of cervical cancer.

Why cervical dysplasia diagnosis is important

Cervical dysplasia often has no symptoms, and women may not notice pathological changes. Regular gynecological check-ups, Pap tests, and additional examinations allow early detection of dysplasia, ensuring effective and safe treatment.

Diagnostic methods

The clinic uses modern diagnostic methods for cervical dysplasia:

  • Colposcopy — a detailed examination of the cervix to detect cellular changes
  • Cytology (Pap test) — identification of abnormal cells at an early stage
  • Human papillomavirus (HPV) testing — detection of high-risk virus types associated with dysplasia
  • Additional examinations — laboratory tests and imaging when necessary

Treatment of cervical dysplasia

We develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient, depending on the severity of dysplasia and overall health condition. The following gentle treatment methods are used:

  • laser therapy
  • cryotherapy
  • radiofrequency methods

Comprehensive follow-up helps control the recovery process, prevent recurrence, and maintain cervical health.

Who needs this service

Cervical dysplasia is especially relevant for women who have:

  • abnormal Pap test results
  • detected high-risk HPV infection
  • suspicious findings during gynecological examination

Frequently asked sorular ve yanıtları

What is cervical dysplasia?
It is a change in the cellular structure of the cervix that doctors classify as a precancerous condition. The disease develops gradually and, when detected early, can be well controlled. Timely diagnosis and monitoring help prevent serious consequences and preserve women’s health.
Why is the disease often discovered accidentally?
The changes occur at the cellular level and do not affect nerve endings, so the woman does not feel pain or discomfort. That is why dysplasia is most often detected only during routine examinations.
How do you know that an examination is needed?
The reason may be abnormalities in test results, detected HPV infection, or a long absence of medical check-ups. Even if you feel well, it is recommended to undergo regular screening, as the disease may develop without noticeable symptoms.
Is treatment always required?
Not in all cases. In early changes, observation may be sufficient. If dysplasia is more severe, the doctor will recommend treatment to prevent further progression of the condition.
Does cervical dysplasia necessarily progress to cancer?
No, this is a common myth. Dysplasia only increases the risk but does not mean that cancer will develop. With regular monitoring and properly selected treatment, the process can be stopped or completely eliminated without serious consequences.
How do you see our collaboration?
What will happen during our sessions? How often will the consultations take place? What will the format of our work be? What questions do you have for me?

Please remember that this is only a sample list, and you are always free to ask any other questions that concern you. It is important that you feel comfortable and confident asking questions to the psychologist and receive clear and understandable answers.
What causes cervical dysplasia?
The main cause is the human papillomavirus (HPV). Other factors include the immune system, hormonal balance, inflammatory processes, and lifestyle. Most often, it is a combination of factors rather than a single specific cause.
Will this affect pregnancy?
In most cases — no. However, it is important to undergo an examination in advance. If necessary, treatment is carried out before planning in order to reduce possible risks and ensure a safe pregnancy.
