By basal temperature
If menstruation does not occur, basal temperature can be measured the next morning. This is the rectal temperature measured immediately after waking up. If it consistently exceeds 37°C, it may indicate pregnancy.
By ovulation and conception date
Ovulation is the period when conception can occur. It usually happens in the middle of the menstrual cycle. For example, around day 14 in a 28-day cycle.
By last menstrual period
Pregnancy duration is often calculated based on the first day of the last menstrual period.
By gynecological examination
A doctor can determine pregnancy based on uterine size in early weeks.
By test
A pregnancy test detects the hormone hCG in urine. A positive result indicates pregnancy.
By blood test
Blood tests measure hormone levels and provide more accurate results.
By ultrasound
Ultrasound is the most reliable method. Pregnancy can be detected from about 2–3 weeks.
If the result is positive, it is recommended to consult a gynecologist.
