Gynecology the foundation of women’s health and its preservation

Gynecology is the science of women’s health. It studies the normal functioning of the female body and diseases related to different stages of a woman’s life. Prevention plays a key role in gynecology, making it essential for maintaining women’s health.

The words gynecology and gynecologist come from the Greek gyne meaning woman and logos meaning science. A gynecologist is a specialist who diagnoses, treats, and prevents diseases of the female reproductive system. This field studies women’s health throughout different stages of life.
