From June 29 to July 2, 2025, I had the honor of participating in one of the key events in the field of reproductive medicine — the annual ESHRE conference (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology). This is a platform where leading specialists from around the world share the latest research, techniques, and experiences. Today, I would like to share with you my impressions and key takeaways from this event. This knowledge will help me take even better care of my patients’ health, especially in complex cases.
At the conference, we focused on the most complex situations in reproductive medicine that doctors and patients face:
One of the key topics was the interaction between the embryo and the endometrium. Even with a perfect embryo, problems with the endometrium can lead to failure. We discussed in detail:
Special attention was given to the need for personalized treatment. Today, there are AI-based programs (such as GPT) that help develop the most effective protocols for each patient. However, it was repeatedly emphasized from the ESHRE stage: no technology can replace a doctor. The final decision always rests with the specialist, who considers all the nuances of the patient’s condition.
We also discussed why, even with normal ovarian function (8–10 follicles), the response to therapy may still be insufficient. This is especially true in complex PCOS cases with metabolic disorders or low ovarian reserves, where the eggs do not respond to stimulation even with high doses of medication. These situations require new approaches, which we explored during the conference.
The data and methods obtained at ESHRE will help me work more effectively with complex patients:
As a member of the European Society of Obstetricians, Gynecologists, and Reproductive Specialists, I strive to attend key events such as ESHRE, as well as international congresses in Turkey. These events allow me to stay up to date with the latest trends, exchange experiences with colleagues from around the world, and find the best solutions for patients. A single doctor cannot keep track of the entire volume of information emerging in our field alone. Conferences help highlight what’s most important and ensure nothing is missed.
The next major congress I plan to attend will take place in November in Antalya. I am confident it will also bring new ideas and knowledge that I can apply in my practice.
ESHRE became a source of inspiration and new professional tools for me. Discussing complex cases, exchanging experiences, and exploring innovative approaches strengthened my confidence that even in the most difficult situations, a solution can be found. The key is an individual approach, continuous learning, and the responsibility of the doctor.
This knowledge will help me take even better care of my patients’ health, especially those facing challenges on their journey toward the dream of having a child.
